When: September 22-24.

What: Three days to continue the growth of the Reproducible Builds effort.

As a follow up to the nine previous reproducible builds workshops in Athens 2015, Berlin 2016, Berlin 2017, Paris 2018, Marrakech 2019, Venice 2022, Hamburg 2023, Hamburg 2024 and Vienna 2025 the Reproducible Builds folks met again! And just like previous years, the heart of the workshop were three days of moderated sessions with the goals outlined just below.

It was followed by two extra days of pure, unmoderated hacking time, September 25-26 2026, for all of those who wished to stay longer.

Goals

As previously, the exact content of the meeting was shaped by the participants, these were our main goals as organizers:

Physically meet each other! As the saying goes: a picture is worth more than a 1000 words and a personal interaction is worth more than a 100 emails :-)
Update & exchange about the status of reproducible builds in various projects.
Improve collaboration both between and inside projects.
Expand the scope and reach of reproducible builds to more projects.
Establish space for more strategic and long-term thinking than is possible in virtual channels.
Brainstorm designs on tools enabling users to get the most benefits from reproducible builds.
Work together and hack on solutions.
Discuss how reproducible builds will be usable and meaningful to users and developers alike.

To enable us to focus on our workshop and it's goals, freshly prepared local food was provided at the venue for lunch and for dinners we were exploring the city a bit.

Bus from Landvetter Airport to Gothenburg Central Station

From Landvetter Airport, airport coaches depart every 25 minutes and take you to Gothenburg Central Station in about 35 minutes. More information about the airport coaches can be found at https://www.flygbussarna.se/en.

Tram from Gothenburg Central Station to the venue

From Gothenburg Central Station, you can easily take a tram to Järntorget, where Hotel Draken is located. You can take line 3 (towards Marklandsgatan), line 9 (towards Kungsten), or line 11 (towards Saltholmen) from stop D outside the central station. The journey takes 10 minutes, and tickets can be purchased onboard using contactless payment. Taxi from Landvetter Airport to the venue

From Landvetter Airport to Hotel Draken, the journey takes 30-40 minutes and costs approximately 700 SEK.
